What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Financial Reporting position at Excel Partners, Inc.?
We are supporting one of our finance clients on a search for a VP of SEC Reporting. This is a newly created position for this fast growing organization located in lower Fairfield County, CT (easy access to train). The role will work with the senior leadership within accounting and focuses on financial reporting, SEC compliance, SOX oversight, and technical accounting.
The company follows an in-office schedule Monday - Thursday and provides a comprehensive benefits package in addition to a base, bonus and options.
Some responsibilities include
- Oversee financial statement preparation and SEC reporting (U.S. GAAP)
- Manage SOX controls program and ensure compliance
- Coordinate audits and work with external auditors
- Support accounting policies and complex transactions
- Research technical accounting guidance and prepare memos
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of corporate accounting or audit experience (financial services)
- CPA and Accounting degree required
- Strong SEC reporting, GAAP, and SOX experience
- Experience with consolidations; ERP exposure a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
