What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scaffold Carpenters position at Excel Modular Scaffold & Leasing Corporation?
A Scaffold Carpenter’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Construction and dismantling of scaffolding
- Determining amount of materials, identifying appropriate construction locations and transporting scaffolding materials under direct supervision of the lead man
- Explaining instructions and documentation to plan work activities
- Help coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site
- Complete and reviews records
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Perform various clean-up activities
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Physically, workers must be able to:
- Work in direct sunlight
- Stand or walk for long periods
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Must be able to pass a background, Drug screens (urine and hair follicle) and physical
Regulatory Training required for access into the job site.
