What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator position at Excel Manufacturing, Inc.?
1ST SHIFT 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (8-10 hour shifts depending on production needs)
2nd SHIFT 4:30PM - 3:00AM (8-10 hour hours depending on production needs)
Base Pay $17.00 per hour. If applicants have applicable experience, starting pay will be higher.
Excel Mfg Inc is looking for skilled CNC lathe operators who are looking to grow in manufacturing. We train our CNC Operators onsite on how to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Skills:
5 years CNC lathe or turning experience
Proven experience as a reliable and hard working employee.
Open mind to learning to operate CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
Good communication abilities
High school diploma or equivalent
