Medical Receptionist
Excel Eye Center provides state-of-the-art healthcare to our patients in a kind, courteous, efficient, and professional manner. Our doors first opened in 1917, and we have been providing world-class eye care throughout the state for over 100 years.
Excel Eye Center provides the latest technology and eye healthcare to offer our patients a complete range of ophthalmic and optometric services. These services include: Routine vision exam, LASIK vision correction, Cataract care, Retinal conditions, Diabetic eye care, Corneal Transplants, Glaucoma Care, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Dry eye treatment, Cosmetic Surgery, Glasses, and Contacts.
Pay is based on previous medical receptionist and medical field experience. One year commitment required.
Position Summary: These medical receptionist positions are based in multiple offices within Utah County, which also includes working in our Provo office weekly, as needed. We have 7 locations throughout Utah county from Saratoga Springs to Payson. This is a great opportunity to work client facing in our fast-paced clinics where you will make personal connections with new people every day. A successful candidate will optimize patient satisfaction by providing a warm and inviting experience from answering phones (Provo location, rotation with all receptionists), scheduling their appointment, greeting them when they arrive, to scheduling follow up visits, tests, or in office procedures. You will play an important part in the success of the patient’s overall experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone.
- Quickly answering and properly referring questions and issues.
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling for multiple providers and locations.
- Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions.
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving, recording and updating personal and financial information.
- Verifying patient’s health insurance information for accurate claim processing.
- Collecting co-pays and balances at the time of service.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Qualifications: Excel Eye Center is looking for candidates that have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Proficient with computers and phones. Ability to respond promptly to the needs of others. Eagerness to contribute to a team effort by accomplishing day to day tasks.
- A pre-employment drug screening is required prior to starting the position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
