Job description
Excel Care LLC is seeking professional, passionate, fun-loving individuals to join our team as a Direct Support Professional. We are looking for individuals to assist a St. Paul-based client with daily life activities. Our male client is specifically seeking a male caregiver for this role. This client currently requires special summer hours from 9a-3p throughout the week. Shifts are split between weekdays (M-F) and weekends (Sa/Su).
We offer flexible hours for everyone. The primary responsibility of the Direct Support Professional (DSP), is to provide direct care to our clients. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Homemaking
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients
- Assisting with hygiene management
- Independent living skills: Help each client reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with daily living activities.
- Documentation of daily activities
- Communication regarding concerns of the clients: Observe client and report any changes in physical and emotional condition to the supervisor.
- Transporting clients within the community: Assisting with appointment setting, taking to and from appointments, assist with Shopping
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with valid auto insurance (Required)
- 1 years of experience providing direct care to individuals or vulnerable populations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Empathy and compassion while providing care
