SPEECH THERAPIST-  PER DIEM

Location:  Excel Care Center, Tampa, FL

Excel Care Center is seeking an innovative and compassionate Speech Therapist,SLP/CCC to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The Speech Therapist creates, plans, develops, and implements speech therapy programs for a diverse population of residents.

Per Diem:  Flexible schedules to accommodate resident population and to allow for a balanced work-life.

Pay:  Per Diem hourly rates start at $55.00

Job Duties-

·        Perform screenings and evaluations of residents with speech language, swallowing and cognitive functioning impairments and other conditions, developing and implementing appropriate Speech Therapy plans of care while adhering to federal and state regulations and clinical standards.

·        Delivers skilled speech therapy services with the appropriate medically necessary interventions to improve, maintain or prevent decline with their impaired functions.

·        Complete comprehensive documentation for resident care including evaluations, progress notes, re-certifications, care plans, standardized test, discharge summaries and billing.

·       Provide consultation and education to residents, families, caregivers, and others to promote quality care and resident outcomes.

Job Qualifications-

·        Must have or be eligible for Florida Speech Therapy license.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

·        Minimum of master’s degree in speech therapy

·       All experience levels considered.
