A Lead Direct Support Professional maintains the role of a DSP while holding higher standards of the position. This individual is a role model to others on providing quality supports to individuals served by TLC. They assist others with less experience or knowledge of the residents, home and operating standards of the agency. This person maintains a professionalism and positive attitude while providing guidance and boundaries for safe supports.
Responsibilities may include:
· Assisting residents in Completing ADL and ISP goals.
· Being a positive team member and role modeling TLCs vision for the team.
· Assuring documentation is being completed per policy and OAR standards.
· Providing guidance to team members to assure completion of DSP assigned tasks.
· Initiating activities, motivating others, coordinating social gatherings and facilitating opportunities for residents and staff to engage in positive experiences.
· Communicating with leadership to coordinate supports for the home/resident/co-workers to be successful meeting goals.
· Completing continuing education that supports the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.25 per hour
