Overview
We are seeking reliable and physically capable Professional Movers to join our team. As a Professional Mover, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting clients' belongings to their new homes or businesses. This role requires strength, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure a smooth moving experience.
Responsibilities
- Pack, load, and unload furniture, household goods, and other items onto and off of trucks.
- Safely handle and transport fragile or valuable items, ensuring proper wrapping and securing.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed for safe transport.
- Operate moving equipment, such as dollies, hand trucks, and furniture pads.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates during the move.
- Drive moving trucks or vans to transport items to designated locations (valid driver’s license may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the moving truck and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injury or damage to property.
- Assist with inventory checks to ensure all items are accounted for during the move.
- Collaborate with team members to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a mover or in a physically demanding role is a plus but not required.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50-100 lbs) repeatedly.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if driving is required).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying schedules.
- Attention to detail to ensure items are handled with care.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed outdoors and indoors, often in varying weather conditions.
- Requires standing, lifting, bending, and carrying for extended periods.
