Overview
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and submitting Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation packages to customers per specified requirements. This role collaborates closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. The PPAP Coordinator supports continuous improvement through accurate documentation, data integrity, and strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain complete PPAP documentation packages per customer and industry requirements.
- Collect, organize, and verify dimensional, material, and performance test data.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure all documentation is accurate and timely.
- Review customer specifications and quality requirements for each submission.
- Generate or update Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PFMEAs as required.
- Coordinate sample part submission and verification of results prior to final approval.
- Maintain a database of PPAP submissions, due dates, and approval status.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested PPAP and quality documentation.
- Support corrective action documentation and follow-up related to PPAP findings or rejections.
- Promote continuous improvement in document control and quality processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
- Working knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and requirements.
- Familiarity with measurement tools, blueprints, and GD&T.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired Experience
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in quality documentation or quality engineering support.
- Experience in a machining, metal casting, or automotive manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF documentation tools.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
