What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales position at Ewing-Foley, Inc?
The Position
Based in Auburn, CA and reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, this position encompasses a wide range of sales activities for products sold within the markets we serve.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Answers phone calls as Backup to Customer Service on main phone lines within 3 rings
- Emails are to be monitored consistently throughout the day. They are to be responded to within a timely fashion and written in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of Manufacturer’s online portals to answer customer inquiries
- Understanding of Ewing Foley Offices, Divisions, Personnel, and Principals
- Creation of sales quotations – standard stock and special/large competitive projects
- Technical aptitude and/or understanding of product offering to provide selection advice and specification information to customers
- Knowledge of terms and conditions, pricing strategies and sales processes for assigned Principals
- Maintain and update knowledge on new products, promotions and sales initiatives for assigned lines
- Communication with outside sales staff to coordinate quotes and assist with closing orders
- Works with Customer Service to make sure orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner
- Use of CRM database to create or maintain accounts, contacts, quotes, and/or opportunities
- Ordering & coordinate shipment for sales samples
- Organization of desk to ensure proper handling by assigned backup personnel
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience in Customer Service and/or Inside Sales
- Prior work in industrial & commercial products through electrical wholesale channel highly valued
- Experienced skills with CRM software and Microsoft 365. Outlook, and Microsoft Excel knowledge essential
- Ideal candidate will possess high energy, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once and maintain a positive attitude.
- Organization and attention to detail are a must.
