Ewing, Dietz, Fountain & Kaludis, founded in 1952, is a law firm located in historic Easton, Maryland. We have a long-standing history of helping clients navigate a wide range of legal issues. For six decades we have provided legal services to individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and local governments in Talbot County and surrounding areas. As a general practice firm, we handle a diverse array of cases, providing comprehensive legal services to meet the varied needs of our clients. Our practice areas include family law, personal injury, contracts, real estate and zoning, land use, business law, and trusts and estates. We currently have nine attorneys in our practice and are seeking to add an associate attorney to contribute to our growing practice.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Attorney located in Easton, MD. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, providing legal advice, and assisting other attorneys with their caseload. The associate attorney position includes oversight by and guidance from a partner. The applicant needs to be licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. The role includes drafting legal documents, research, attending court hearings, and collaborating with clients to resolve their legal issues effectively. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who has not yet obtained substantial experience and someone who is looking to advance their legal career with the preeminent firm on the Eastern Shore.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Maryland
- Experience in providing Legal Advice and conducting Legal Research
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant experience in a general practice law firm is preferred
- Trial experience preferred, but not required
