Janitor / Housekeeping Position
Location: Artesia, NM
Job Type: Full-Time / Ongoing Project
Pay Rate:
Base Pay: $16.50/hour
Wellness Benefit: $5.54/hour
Total Compensation Package: $22.04/hour
Overtime paid at the base rate of $16.50/hour in accordance with applicable labor laws.
Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a Janitor / Housekeeping position at an active construction site in Artesia, NM. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and organized living and common areas in a hotel-style environment for onsite personnel and guests.
Candidates must be comfortable working in an active construction setting while maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize hotel-style rooms and bathrooms
Change linens, make beds, and restock supplies as needed
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
Clean hallways, common areas, offices, and break rooms
Maintain restrooms with proper sanitation standards
Perform general housekeeping and janitorial duties
Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
Follow all site safety procedures and company policies
Maintain professional conduct and dependable attendance
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel cleaning experience preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment
Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working at an active construction site
Must comply with all safety requirements and PPE guidelines
Work Environment
Active ongoing construction site
Indoor and outdoor work may be required
Fast-paced environment with daily cleaning assignments
