Class A CDL Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment via lowboy trailer safely and efficiently across various routes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of Materials including but not limited to heavy equipment, rock, pipe, logs, brush etc.

Duties

• Operate a tractor-trailer to transport freight to designated locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
• Handle manual transmission vehicles as required for specific routes or freight types.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and heavy equipment transportation.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the trucking industry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining delivery logs and records.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
