Our clinics operate with full in-house diagnostic capabilities, allowing us to quickly and effectively address conditions such as ear infections, skin concerns, lameness, vomiting, urinary tract issues, stable neurological concerns, and end-of-life care. We work collaboratively with primary veterinarians by providing detailed discharge instructions and medical records, ensuring patients receive follow-up care at their usual clinic or a specialty center when necessary. EVS Pet Urgent Care does not provide preventive care, vaccinations, or routine procedures, prioritizing its role as a referral-based urgent care service. Current locations include Kissimmee, FL; Northbrook, IL; North Tonawanda, NY; and Reno, NV.
Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Veterinarian for an on-site position at our Reno, NV location. As a Veterinarian at EVS Pet Urgent Care, you will provide medical care to patients requiring immediate attention for non-life-threatening concerns, diagnose and treat a range of conditions, and ensure the well-being of each patient. Your responsibilities will include conducting exams, interpreting diagnostic tests, creating treatment plans, performing minor procedures, and communicating effectively with pet owners and referring veterinarians. You will work closely with veterinary technicians and adhere to best practices and ethical guidelines within a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive diagnostic and clinical skills, including experience in examining and treating common illnesses and injuries in pets.
- Proficiency in interpreting and utilizing in-house diagnostic tools and systems for accurate medical assessments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with pet owners, team members, and referring veterinarians.
- Detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with veterinary medical standards.
- Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with an active veterinary license in Nevada.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented urgent care environment with a focus on providing compassionate treatment.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advancements in veterinary medicine.
- Familiarity with urgent care protocols and demonstrated ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
