You had better get in quick to register for the New Zealand Electro Mobility Summit at Auckland’s Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau on August 11 and 12.

With more than 250 people expected to be at this week’s Electro Mobility Summit with exhibition area, delegates will get to hear speakers including transport minister Michael Wood, ABB e-mobility product marketing manager Debbie van der Schyff, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) representative Richard Briggs, and Ministry of Transport environment, emissions and adaptation senior adviser Sigurd Magnusson.

The event, chaired by Liz Yeaman, explores the growing role of EVs, e-mobility and other lower emissions fuel technologies in supporting the delivery of transport, logistics and fleet decarbonisation, and it will examine government policies such as the Clean Car scheme, new vehicles coming here and how Kiwis’ behaviour must adapt to get the most out of EVs.

Also featuring are the Motor Industry Association’s David Crawford, Nick Robilliard from Meridian Energy, Beam’s Frederick Conquer, Intelligent Transport Systems NZ’s Armin Guttke, Auckland Council lead transport advisor Michael Roth, WSP consultant Brigitte Hicks, Cleve Cameron of Big Street Bikers, TR Group’s Brendan King, Hyundai’s Grant Doull, and others.

Keeping up to date on EV safety regulations is the subject of a WorkSafe address which includes minimising charging safety risks on the worksite and at home and how future safety legislation for EVs is changing and impacts for industry fleets.

The summit will also learn more about how entry barriers for acquiring EVs can improve, what’s needed from charging infrastructure and considers options for decarbonised transport including hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

The latest from manufacturers on EVs for a wide range of business requirements will also be explained, while the summit includes exhibits from leading EV manufacturers and charging infrastructure.

Organised by Brightstar (trading as Conferenz), the event can be attended live or virtually.
