As Senior Living Content Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and executing content strategies across our senior living portfolio. This client-facing position works closely with account teams to support the content goals, messaging initiatives and marketing priorities for a variety of senior living communities. From campaign copy and blogs to digital content and strategic messaging, you’ll help bring each brand’s voice and story to life.

Job Functions
Strategy & Content Planning
- Takes the lead role in strategic content creation as a member of the EVR Senior Living account team.
- Create content calendars that provide big-picture overview, guide the content planning process, and facilitate team collaboration with agency Content Director and copywriters.
- Understand client brand, style and marketing channels to produce copy and content that best resonates with both internal and external audiences.
- Develop and communicate a strategy that transforms business objectives and goals into a plan that uses content to help achieve these goals.
- Be client-facing for content-related projects, providing leadership and guidance in all content initiative discussions with clients. This includes discussing best practices and processes with the client.
- Collaborate with a partner PR agency on shared initiatives (earned media, sponsorships, feature stories) to cultivate ideas and streamline communications.
Content Creation
- Master the tone of voice for each specific senior living community to ensure differentiation amongst each client set.
- Produce a variety of content that includes, but is not limited to, web copy, landing page copy, newsletter content, ad copy, social media posts and blog writing.
- Focus on creation of hero content that can be broken into many smaller, derivative assets.
- Review ads and marketing pieces to ensure copy and graphics are complementary and creatively supportive of each other and tailored to each audience.
Organic Social Strategy & Editorial Planning
- Review monthly social media calendars from EVR’s content team for creativity, QA and client preferences.
- Be the liaison for social media content at the individual community level, engaging with sales and activities teams to collect social media photos and videos.
- Engage with audiences on social media profiles through listening and monitoring.
- Conduct interviews with community residents to develop feature stories that fuel content strategy.
- Visit each senior living community on a regular basis to meet with residents and associates to gather content ideas and imagery.
Measurement & Continuous Optimization
- Track and report on key organic social metrics (engagement, reach, retention, content quality signals).
- Partner with creative and digital teams to leverage insights to refine creative direction, improve content efficiency and elevate digital execution.
- Comfortable with A/B testing of content and copy for optimizing results.
- SEO efficacy and proven lift of organic traffic from strategic content.
Must Haves
- Degree in Communications, English, marketing, advertising or related field is strongly preferred.
- Work experience in an advertising agency, marketing department or senior living community is required.
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
- Adequate ability to use technology, including suite of Microsoft Office programs, Zoom, A/V equipment and Adobe.
- Appetite for integrating AI into content development practice.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization and time management.
- Ability to multitask between multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Ability to work closely with and build confidence among coworkers.
- Disposition to work well and take initiative and feedback in a fast-paced environment.
