May be expected to handle heavy machinery. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform manual visual inspection of the final product. Involves individually manipulating each unit in the lot to inspect against a detailed criteria to pass or reject the unit. Carry out finished product sampling, labeling and packaging by following written procedure and coordinating with other departments. Occasionally support other operational areas which will include equipment while following strict, detailed instructions. Support the quality function by working within strict quality standards. Follow basic mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Documentation of 20/20 near visual acuity or better (i.e. 20/14). No color blindness. Note: near visual acuity cannot be substituted with far visual acuity. Able to sit or stand for long periods of time, mentally focus on task, and perform repetitive motions with short breaks. Able to record detailed numerical data legibly and use elementary level math to add and subtract with minimal supervision. Able to use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for the type of hazard and exposure potential, including the use of respiratory protection. Able to communicate safety observations.
