Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues. Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation. Use personal expertise to identify the complex standard products and/or services offered by Business Line Catalysts that meet the customer's needs, together with quantities and product configurations. Present these to the customer with a clear rationale and at standard commercial terms, referring to senior colleagues where necessary to gain the customer's agreement. Negotiate and execute multi-year supply agreements as well as non-disclosure agreements. Acquisition of spent catalysts: identify decision makers and units, maintain unit database and negotiate acquisition offers Collaborate internally and work as the customer champion in cross-functional teams to build strong external customer relationships. Enter customer information that has been gathered through research and/or through direct customer contact into the customer relationship management system (MS Dynamics 365), to ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities. Meet sales KPI regarding contact reports, opportunity pipeline, over dues, forecast accuracy REQUIREMENTS A technical undergraduate degree in chemistry or chemical engineering is strongly preferred Highschool Diploma or GED required 3-5 years experience in sales of highly technical products and services, ideally in a multinational environment. Specifically, prior catalyst sales experience is not required but would be a plus as is technical experience working in a refinery. Works without supervision and provides technical guidance and novel concepts for a wide range of topics when required 3-8 years successfully managing customer relationships preferred Established track record of success in sales – demonstrated ability for generating and maintaining solution based sales approaches at the customer while leveraging the internal team to deliver the sale Demonstrated ability to manage teams (without direct reports, i.e. account teams) in order to achieve agreed objectives Able to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives. Demonstrated ability to network at a range of levels within target organization, up to senior management.
