Staff Electrical Engineer

🚀 We’re hiring: Staff Electrical Engineer | Westminster, CO

I’m looking to connect with experienced Electrical Engineers with a strong background in digital and mixed-signal electronics who are interested in developing cutting-edge hardware for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.

This is a hands-on Staff-level opportunity where you’ll own hardware development from initial architecture through schematic design, PCB layout, analysis, bring-up, verification, production, and deployment.

🛰️ What you’ll be working on:

• Digital and mixed-signal electronics for space applications

• Software-defined radios (SDRs) and single-board computers (SBCs)

• Control & telemetry subsystems for phased-array antenna payloads

• High-speed digital interfaces, including 10 Gbps SerDes

• FPGA, ADC/DAC and mixed-signal board implementation

• Complex PCB design and HDI/high-speed routing

• Signal integrity and power integrity analysis

• Worst-case circuit analysis

• Hardware bring-up, debugging and root cause analysis

• Design verification and transition into production

• Technical leadership and mentoring of hardware engineers

🔧 What we’re looking for:

• 8 years of board-level electronics design, analysis and test experience

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering

• Strong digital and mixed-signal electronics expertise

• Experience owning complex board designs from architecture through production

• Expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer

• Strong PCB layout knowledge, including HDI stackups and high-speed routing

• Experience with SI/PI simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro or Mentor HyperLynx

• Extensive hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and verification

• Strong debugging, root cause analysis and design review experience

• Excellent communication and cross-functional engineering skills

Experience with 10 Gbps SerDes, SDRs, space/defense electronics, high-reliability design, radiation environments, or leading multi-module hardware developments would be particularly valuable.
