Defense Sales Executive – Remote | US - Space, Digital Engineering & Mission Software🪐
We're partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed technology company that is helping government and industry customers transform the way they design, test, simulate, and operate complex missions across Space, Air, Land, and Sea.
As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Defense Sales Executive to drive expansion across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and major Prime Contractors. This is an opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial team where you'll have significant ownership, direct access to leadership, and the ability to shape go-to-market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute growth strategies across key DoD, IC, and Prime Contractor accounts.
- Build and expand relationships with government stakeholders, acquisition teams, and industry partners.
- Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities.
- Lead customer engagements, demonstrations, and executive-level discussions.
- Support proposal and pursuit activities for strategic opportunities.
- Work closely with technical teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Key Requirements
- 5 years of experience in defense sales, business development, capture, or growth roles.
- Existing relationships across the DoD, Intelligence Community, or Prime Contractor ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of defense acquisition and procurement processes.
- Experience within space, aerospace, mission software, modeling & simulation, digital engineering, or adjacent technologies.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and senior decision-makers.
- Experience operating within a startup or high-growth environment is highly desirable.
- Active US security clearance preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain and maintain one.
