The Role
About
As Head of Finance, you’ll be both hands-on operator and strategic partner. This is not a pure reporting or controller role, it’s about building the financial engine that enables the company to scale. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to:
- Own FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Build and refine financial models to handle a complex, variable revenue model (inventory consignment, take-rates, large transactions).
- Provide strategic insights on margin structure, capital allocation, and scaling strategy.
- Create investor-ready reporting and financial plans.
- Operate as a player-coach: hands-on in the early stages, with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the company grows.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves building, and wants to grow with the company. You likely have:
- 7–12 years’ experience in finance roles with clear progression (FP&A, Finance Manager, Director/VP Finance).
- A blend of large-company rigor (complex modeling, FP&A discipline) and startup/scale-up grit (rolling up your sleeves, building from scratch).
- Strong FP&A skills, financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning is your skillset.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, marketplaces, manufacturing, or capital-intensive industries is a strong plus.
- Comfort operating as an individual contributor initially, with the drive to scale into building and leading a team.
- Work at the intersection of manufacturing, sustainability, and technology, solving a $700B problem.
- Partner directly with the CEO on strategic decision-making.
- Take ownership of finance in a business with a clear trajectory toward growth and scale.
- Earn significant equity upside by joining at a pivotal stage.
