As the business continues to scale, they are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to help build and strengthen financial operations, reporting, controls, and business processes. The Role

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Maintain accurate transaction coding, categorization, and financial records
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and audit readiness
• Review expenses for accuracy, policy compliance, and proper approvals
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and data inconsistencies
• Ensure financial documentation is organized and maintained appropriately

Accounts Payable & Procurement Support

• Manage invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment and procurement matters
• Track purchase orders, invoices, and payment workflows
• Maintain accurate records across accounting and procurement systems

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare recurring financial reports and management dashboards
• Support budget-to-actual reporting and cash flow visibility
• Assist with forecasting, financial modeling, and scenario planning
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
• Improve reporting processes and financial data quality

Budgeting & Controls

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend tracking activities
• Help establish reporting structures, approval workflows, and financial controls
• Monitor variances and identify emerging financial risks
• Contribute to scalable finance processes as the organization grows
• Partner with operational and technical teams to support business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline
• 3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, FP&A, accounts payable, business operations, or a related finance function
• Experience working with accounting and finance systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Coupa, Airbase, or similar platforms
• Strong spreadsheet and financial analysis skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, transaction coding, and month-end processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to improve processes and build structure

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to government contracting, cost accounting, or DCAA-compliant environments
• Experience in technology, engineering, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, R&D, or startup environments
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or progress toward professional certification
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
