We are looking for a seasoned FinOps Presales Solution Architect to support our sales and customer success teams in delivering strategic value to enterprise clients. You’ll guide customers through the entire implementation process, from initial requirements and architecture design to hands-on-integration, configuration and knowledge transfer. This role is ideal for a technical expert with deep experience in financial operations, cloud cost optimization, competitive solution positioning. The ideal candidate will have exceptional client-facing consulting skills, hands-on experience with IBM Apptio or similar platforms and a strong background in whitespace and competitive selling.

 Key Responsibilities 

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with sales to identify whitespace opportunities, craft compelling solution strategies and clients identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities and drive a culture of continuous optimization. 
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and solution workshops with enterprise clients.
  • Design and present tailored FinOps architectures that align with client goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop competitive positioning and differentiation strategies against platforms like IBM Apptio, CloudHealth, Nicus, etc.
  • Collaborate with sales and architecture teams to influence roadmap and ensure client needs are met.
  • Support RFP responses, proof-of-concepts, and technical evaluations.

 Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5–7 years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting in enterprise software or SaaS.

 Key Capabilities 

  • Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud financial management, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience with IBM Apptio or other FinOps platforms (e.g., CloudHealth, Nicus, ProsperOps, etc.).
  • Proven ability to engage with finance, procurement, and IT stakeholders.
  • FinOps Certified (FOCP) or other related FinOps certifications.
  • Cloud Provider Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
  • Automation and scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Terraform).
  • Experience with IT financial management, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Experience in competitive selling and whitespace development.
  • Familiarity with enterprise procurement and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Work location  

  • Remote or Hybrid work model at corporate office in Hamel, MN

 Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to the Chief Technology Officer

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered.  

USD Annual Salary: $125,000 - $225,000, plus incentive
