Overview
The Fund Accounting Technical Analyst will support technology, data, and operational initiatives across Fund Treasury, Investment Operations, and Client Services. This role will serve as a key liaison between business teams, technology, and external vendors to enhance operational workflows, improve data quality, and support scalable solutions across the firm's middle-and back-office functions.
This role is well suited for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and can independently drive work forward – from problem identification through execution – while partnering effectively across business and technology team.
Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco 4 days a week, with 1 day flexible for work at home.
Responsibilities
- Proactively partner with Fund Treasury, Investment Operations, and Client Services teams to understand business workflows, data needs, and operational challenges.
- Execute technology and data initiatives from concept to implementation, including requirements gathering, documentation, solution design, testing coordination, and deployment support.
- Serve as a bridge between business users, internal technology teams, and external vendors to deliver efficient and scalable solutions.
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of business and technology enhancements, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Develop a deep understanding of middle- and back-office investment operations workflows, including trade lifecycle, reconciliation, cash management, and NAV processes.
- Analyze operational and financial datasets to identify data quality issues, process inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Partner with the data and technology teams to design and implement workflow improvements, reporting enhancements, and system integrations.
- Provide hands‑on support for production systems and operational processes, independently troubleshooting issues and coordinating resolution with internal teams or vendors.
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and integrations related to fund treasury and operational data platforms.
- Promote best practices around data governance, documentation, and SDLC processes.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the financial services field, preferably within a buy side asset manager supporting middle or back-office functions.
- 5 years of experience with SQL and data analytics
- 2 years of investment operations and fund treasury processes
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with platforms such as Eagle PACE, STAR, or Eagle SRM strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting operational workflows across trading, settlement, cash management, reconciliation, NAV oversight, and client reporting.
- Understanding of financial instruments, pricing, and fund accounting data structures.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and hold themselves accountable for delivering results.
- Experience managing or supporting technology projects within the SDLC framework.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Actual salary will depend on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, market and work location. The salary for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area is $120,000 - $160,000
