We are looking for a Project Foreman who has deep installation expertise, strong leadership instincts, and a passion for developing the next generation of electricians and crew leads. This role is central to the success of our field operations.
The Role
As a Project Foreman, you will lead 2–3 Crew Leads and their field teams across commercial lighting, controls, and energy retrofit projects.
You will be responsible for jobsite setup, training and developing apprentices and electricians, enforcing safety, coordinating with Project Managers, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to Evolved LE’s standards of craftsmanship.
This position is hands-on, leadership-heavy, and critical to our field structure. You will be the on-site driver of safety, quality, productivity, and communication.
What You’ll Do
Jobsite Setup & Execution
- Set up and prepare job sites, review drawings, and plan work sequences
- Coordinate lifts, trailers, materials, tooling, carts, and equipment
- Establish safety zones, signage, staging layouts, and organizational systems
- Conduct kickoff meetings with crew leads and installers
- Maintain accurate field documentation
Field Training & Crew Development
- Train apprentices and electricians in correct installation practices
- Demonstrate code-compliant wiring, retrofits, sensor installation, and control hardware
- Coach crew members daily and reinforce productivity benchmarks
- Help identify and develop future Crew Leads and high-potential apprentices
- Promote cross-training and skill-building across crews
Safety Enforcement
- Lead daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Enforce PPE, Lockout/Tagout, JSA completion, and hazard mitigation
- Correct unsafe behaviors immediately
- Report incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly
- Ensure NEC, OSHA, and internal safety standards are followed
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for Project Managers and Field Managers
- Coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, inspectors, and building personnel
- Provide daily updates on progress, manpower needs, issues, and material requirements
- Escalate challenges quickly with proposed solutions
- Maintain strong documentation habits
Leadership & Accountability
- Lead crews with professional presence and consistency
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
- Resolve on-site personnel issues and maintain team morale

- Ensure high-quality workmanship and complete final quality checks

Qualifications
Required
- 5 years commercial electrical, lighting, or controls installation experience
- 3 years leadership experience (Crew Lead, Working Foreman, Lead Electrician)
- Experience training apprentices or electricians
- Full competency in wiring, conduit, disconnects, panels, drivers, relays, sensors, controls hardware
- Experience running lighting/retrofit/controls projects from start to finish
- Strong blueprint/schematic reading skills
- Strong NEC code understanding
- Skilled troubleshooting ability (electrical controls)
- Lift certifications (scissor, boom, forklift)
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation
- Non-smoking (smoke-free work environment)
Preferred
- IEC Journeyman Certification
- Experience with project management or field-tracking software (Acumatica, Procore, etc.)
Schedule & Workload
- Full-time, hourly (40–50 hrs/week)
- Flexibility for 1st–3rd shift depending on project needs
- Primarily in-state travel (occasional short trips to nearby states)
- Field environments include lifts, ladders, PPE, and electrical equipment
Compensation & Benefits
- $35–$55 per hour (based on experience)
