What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director Teen Mental Health position at Evolve Treatment Centers?
Evolve supports teens ages 12–17 navigating mental health, substance use, and behavioral challenges. With 15 short-term residential treatment centers in California, we serve families nationwide through warm, home-like residential programs focused on growth, resilience, and real change.
We are looking for an experienced, licensed clinician to serve as Clinical Director to oversee 2 residential programs in the East Bay(Walnut Creek & Lafayette locations). Each program serves six clients each for a total of twelve clients between the two programs. This role partners closely with on-site Operations Managers to ensure high-quality care, smooth operations, and full compliance across both sites. This role is hybrid with 4 days a week onsite and 1 day a week remote. The payrate for this position is 135k-140k depending on experience.
- Provide clinical oversight to the programs and ensure that all quality, clinical excellence, and safety measures are maintained.
- Ensure that the program’s clinical approach remains behavioral and skills-based and in line with Evolve’s mission and values.
- Facilitate weekly Treatment Team meetings, regular clinical trainings and provide clinical mentorship including clinical supervision to unlicensed staff per BBS requirements
- Regularly review and audit clinical documentation for the program in order to maintain internal and licensing standards
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the teams.
- Serve as the direct supervisor for four Primary Therapists and two Associate Operations Manager
- Create and maintain a positive, collaborative team culture and collaborate with the Operations Manager to facilitate quarterly team-building activities for the team.
- Provide staff with updates/ changes to policies, procedures, and organizational goals and maintain the program schedule and ensure that it adheres to Evolve’s program schedule requirements
- Active California license as a LMFT/LCSW/LPCC
- Exceptional clinical judgment and experience using evidenced based practices including DBT, CBT, MI
- Excellent interpersonal skills, clear oral and written communication and has demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of adolescent mental health and co-occurring disorders and sensitivity and attentiveness to clinical needs related to disability and/or racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual and gender identity
Salary : $135,000 - $140,000
