What You Can Expect In This Role
The Service Technician is an integral role that ensures client transporters are repaired and renovated according to client’s expectations. This position will execute a wide-range of hands-on service work to repair or fully renovate race transporters.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions on all trailer systems.
- Perform standard repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and components including ABS, air brakes, trailer frame, trailer body, suspension, HVAC, electrical systems and more.
- Install and repair all equipment needed on service jobs.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
- Utilize necessary materials, parts, and supplies for transporter repair and renovation.
- Test parts and systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Ensure service processes are executed efficiently with a focus on quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project notes.
- Follows company inventory procedures.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.
- Complete additional related tasks as assigned.
- Foster a positive team-oriented attitude and collaborate effectively with peers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong mechanical background in heavy truck and trailer service, with expertise in servicing and diagnosing diesel engine generators.
- Qualified to perform and sign off on comprehensive DOT Inspections.
- Skilled in minor metal fabrication and welding, including repair of minor body damage and small painting projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC components and operation.
- Committed to producing high-quality craftsmanship.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to share knowledge and support other shop personnel.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in both office and shop settings.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, off ladders, and moderate heights.
- Experience with 12V and 24V Electrical systems
- College coursework, technical training or certifications in automotive/diesel service, electrical, HVAC or related experience highly preferred.
- This role will be located at the Guion Road facility until completion of new facility in Noblesville - approx. 4/1/26**
Salary : $27 - $33
