Independent investment management and strategic advisory firm is seeking a Private Client Relationship Advisor. Our team works in a dynamic, trust-based partnership with Portfolio Managers to serve a broad range of client needs. Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with Portfolio Management, Strategic Advisory and Operations teams to provide a high-quality, well-integrated service experience to clients.
- Manage all aspects of client onboarding including custodian selection, documentation collection, account opening, account funding, online enrollment and implementing fee arrangements.
- Ability to understand complex documentation related to account structures, trusts, LLCs, FLPs etc.
- Oversee the communication of the onboarding process mentioned above to ensure consistent internal and external updates and task assignment are on track.
- Manage fiduciary issues relevant to client relationships; partner with Strategic Advisory team to coordinate tax, estate planning, and fiduciary matters for clients.
- Build rapport with clients, as well as their outside advisors (accountants, attorneys). Assure prompt, accurate fulfillment of all client requests and inquiries.
- Coordinate gifting activities including processing cash and in-kind gifts; producing gift letters, Crummey notices.
- Understand the advisory fee calculation process and ensure fee arrangements are implemented correctly.
- Oversee the development of junior client service colleagues supporting client maintenance and transactional requirements.
- Collaborate with network of Client Service Advisors and Operational leadership to ensure client needs are integrated to processes, technologies, and products.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and ongoing business improvement efforts as needed.
- Attend client meetings to represent the overall body of work and scope of work outstanding for new clients. This involves attending prospective client meetings and related events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years of relevant work experience
- Deep experience with complex Trusts and Fiduciary accounts
- Course work towards or completion of the Certified Financial Planning program a plus
- Proven ability to build rapport and foster trust with clients and their outside advisors
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities to meet client demands
- Demonstrates professional maturity and discretion in handling confidential and delicate client issues
- Collaborative team-player; self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Desire to dive into the detail, and also step back and evaluate the client experience from a strategic lens. Comfortable toggling between player and coach role.

- Highly organized work style; detail-oriented and accurate
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in leveraging systems and processes to execute activities with accuracy and efficiency

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 base salary bonus and benefits
