What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Evolve HR Solutions?
This is a role for an engineer who likes being in the middle of the action...not sitting behind a desk.
If you enjoy solving real manufacturing problems, working directly with operators, and building practical solutions, this is worth a look.
This is a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades engineering role inside a high-activity plant where priorities shift, problems are real, and your impact is immediate.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be embedded in the plant, working across machining, assembly, testing, and maintenance to keep operations running and improving.
- Design and improve tooling and fixturing (including high-pressure testing and safety applications)
- Work directly with the machine shop, assembly, and maintenance teams to solve production issues
- Troubleshoot day-to-day challenges and keep operations moving
- Partner with the design engineering team to align product and manufacturing
- Drive incremental improvements across layout, flow, tooling, and efficiency
- Manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
What Makes This Role Different
- This is a broad, plant-based role—you won’t be stuck in one lane
- The facility has already gone through a major transformation—now it’s about execution and refinement
- There’s more structure, but also more complexity and daily activity
- You’ll have exposure to leadership and cross-functional teams
- The work is practical—you’ll see the results of what you build and improve
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical or manufacturing engineering background
- Hands-on experience with:
- Tooling and fixturing
- Production support and troubleshooting
- Machining, fabrication, or assembly environments
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced plant
- Someone who prefers being on the floor, not behind a desk
Tools & Experience
- CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor
- Lean / continuous improvement exposure
- Experience supporting test environments is a plus
Why This Role
This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who wants to:
- Broaden their experience across multiple areas of manufacturing
- Be part of a plant where engineering is central to daily operations
- Gain visibility and work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams
- Make a real, measurable impact
