Position Summary
Reporting to the CHRO, the Director of Human Resources leads the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) function and serves as a strategic partner to organizational leaders. This position works closely with executive leadership, department leaders, and HR Business Partners to align people strategies with business objectives while driving organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development, and workforce planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Human Resources Business Partner team to provide consistent, strategic HR support across the organization.
- Partner with executive leaders, department leaders, and HR Business Partners on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies.
- Serve as the strategic HR advisor, providing guidance on organizational and people-related initiatives.
- Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, leadership effectiveness, and team development.
- Partner with leaders to identify talent needs, succession plans, and leadership development opportunities.
- Lead organizational change initiatives and support leaders through periods of growth, transformation, and organizational change.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop strategies that improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture.
- Provide guidance on performance management, employee coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with other HR areas to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Analyze workforce trends and organizational metrics to identify opportunities and support business decisions.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational initiatives that support business goals and organizational effectiveness.
- Foster collaborative relationships across departments and promote a culture aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides leadership and oversight for the Human Resources Business Partner team.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.
- Experience serving as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles, employment law, and HR best practices.
- Experience in workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
- Strong employee relations, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Excellent consulting, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze workforce data and translate insights into business recommendations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to build trusted partnerships with leaders at all organizational levels.
Preferred Certifications
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR
- Other relevant HR certifications
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in an office or clinical environment (70%) with occasional remote work (30%), and travel between clinic locations and/or attendance at community or professional events as needed.
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
