Patient Services Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative for a Gender-Affirming Care Medical Practice where we offer gender affirming hormone therapy for transgender and non-binary patients, primary care, PrEP, and nutritional counseling.

As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service and support. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others and has excellent communication skills.

Duties:
- Communicate with patients via phone, email, and portal to provide assistance and resolve inquiries.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding services and promotions.
- Process prior authorizations, patient letters, and referrals efficiently and accurately.
- Perform data entry tasks to enter and update patient information (demographics, insurance, and billing) in the system.
- Utilize phone etiquette to ensure professional and friendly interactions with patients.
- Identify opportunities for improving services and patient care.
- Collaborate with other team members to address patient concerns and find solutions.
- Maintain a high level of service knowledge to effectively assist patients.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems, especially EHR and practice management systems.
- Experience with the LGBTQ community is beneficial.
