Salary: $25-$30/hrEvolutions Detox is seeking a dedicated and compassionateSubstance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team. This role provides case management, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) counseling, and recovery support services for clients experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The counselor will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support clients throughout their recovery journey and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.Schedule: Full-Time, Monday FridayPay: $25 $30 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesOrient newly assigned clients to program rules and expectationsProvide weekly individual AOD counseling and case management for assigned clientsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with therapistsFacilitate 34 recovery-focused group sessions per weekConduct screenings and intake assessments in accordance with IMS guidelinesProvide crisis intervention when neededCoordinate services and provide referrals to community resourcesCreate weekly schedules with assigned clientsMaintain accurate documentation in the EMR within 24 hours of service deliveryPerform UA drug screenings and complete required documentationCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical leadership regarding client careDevelop discharge and aftercare plans with the treatment teamAttend weekly clinical meetings, supervision sessions, and required trainingsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and professional ethical standardsComplete administrative tasks and other duties as assignedQualificationsCertification in substance use counseling through CCAPP, CAADE, CADTP, or a similar governing bodyKnowledge of substance use disorders, treatment approaches, and co-occurring disordersUnderstanding of detoxification and incidental medical services proceduresStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet documentation deadlinesRequirementsMinimum 2 years of direct client care experience in substance use treatment, mental health, or a related field preferredCurrent CPR/First Aid CertificationCurrent TB test and health screeningStrong organizational and clinical documentation skills
