Our curriculum is crafted to seamlessly teach our students how to survive and thrive in the water. We offer comprehensive and fun swim classes for children of all ages.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Complete New Instructor Training

- Attend Quarterly Instructor Trainings

- Enforce safety guidelines and protocol to ensure the safety of our students and team members

- Provide detailed feedback to clients regarding student progress

- Bring value to our clients through impeccable customer service and positive attitude

- Work with fellow team members to ensure the progress, safety and success of each student in our swim school

Our certified instructors employ creative and engaging teaching methods that allow children to learn proper swim technique while playing games and making lots of new friends! All of our Swim Instructors attend a comprehensive, two-week training course to learn about our culture, core values and programs. This training also includes a hands-on approach to learning our in-house curriculum developed by Evolution Swim Academy founder and two-time Olympian, Felipe Delgado. Our Instructors will learn how to teach our five Safety Levels and three Stoke Technique Levels. We offer additional training for Instructors who want to teach Parent & Me Lessons and our Novice Swim Team.

Individuals must complete the Evolution Swim Academy Basic Instructor Training that covers Company History, Core Values, Program Overview and Curriculum for Starfish 1 through Swim Stars 3 Levels. Upon completion of training, individuals will receive the Evolution Swim Academy Swim Instructor Certification.

EXPERIENCE: Individuals should have experience working with children in the aquatic environment or in another setting with similar experience. (Preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, class schedules, swim lesson curriculum. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear in a moderately loud environment. The employee is required to stand for up to 5 hours; walk; use hands to handle, push or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Our team of instructors working to provide peace-of-mind and deck supervisors assisting to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all of our members. Our pool room temperature is set at 80° and our water temperature is heated to 90° making for an optimal learning environment.

Evolution Swim Academy came to life when Founder Felipe Delgado realized the demand for quality swim instruction. In 2005, Felipe started teaching young swimmers and crafting the Evolution Swim Academy curriculum and experience. Although updated many times, the curriculum’s core teachings are still valid today. Felipe started his teachings in community pools on a part-time, seasonal basis and in 2011, decided to leave his corporate job and focus 100% of his time to teaching lifesaving skills to swimmers of all ages. In 2014, after three years of traveling the country and doing extensive research, Felipe Delgado opened Evolution Swim Academy in Mission Viejo, with over 300 students. We currently have over 1,000 students swimming at our location in Mission Viejo and our second indoor facility will open in June 2021 in Rancho Mission Viejo.

Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
