About This Opportunity

Responsible for moving materials, products, and shipments in and out of an industrial distribution warehouse. Performs various operations, such as unloading, picking, packing counting, and checking items to maintain inventory. Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform primary duties.

• Verify and receive incoming shipments efficiently to effectively fulfill orders.
• Lift, unload, and stack merchandise in designated areas.
• Locate, verify, lift, select, count, and pack merchandise accurately into containers for outgoing shipments.
• Inspect products for defects and damage.
• Performs general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Cooperates and interacts effectively with peers, suppliers and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
• Operates inventory equipment such as an RF Scanner.
• Operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment according to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Abide by all company safety regulations.

Location:

Evolution Motion Solutions is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Noblesville, IN facility.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. Must meet the minimum requirements listed in each Qualifications subsection.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
  
  

Experience

• 0-2 years' experience in shipping and receiving.
• Proven work experience in a distribution or manufacturing warehouse handling 100 combined packages and LTL type shipments.
• Proficient in receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping functions of a warehouse.
• Familiarity with electronic manifesting systems (i.e. UPS, Worldship, and FedEx).
• Experience with STL freight carriers including packaging, manifesting, scheduling pickups, and damage reporting.
• Competent in using Wi-Fi or RF data collection devices.
• Forklift operation (standup, sit-down, picker), as well as pallet jacks, hand trucks and other warehouse machinery.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 50 pounds on pallets at various heights.
• Frequently move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for deliveries.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
  
  

Work Environment

While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general warehouse conditions including noise and temperature fluctuations. Availability to work outside normal business hours and weekends as needed.
