Job Summary
The Sales Associate is a frontline retail position responsible for delivering excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining store standards. All Sales Associates at Evolution are trusted with keyholder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store, following security procedures, and operating independently during assigned shifts.
This role is hands-on, customer-facing, and requires reliability, accuracy, and strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, friendly, and professional customer service
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products
- Educate customers through product knowledge and recommendations
- Use needs-based selling to introduce customers to products that fit what they’re looking for
- Upsell complementary items to improve customer experience and increase sales
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system
- Maintain cash drawer accuracy and follow all cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized sales floor
- Restock merchandise and assist with product rotation as assigned
- Communicate incidents, concerns, or customer issues promptly to management
- Follow all ID verification and age-restricted sales requirements
- Open and close the store according to company procedures when scheduled
- Properly arm/disarm alarms and follow all security protocols
- Follow scheduling expectations and arrive on time for all shifts
- Comply with all company SOPs, safety standards, and policies
- Support team operations while maintaining assigned responsibilities

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Opening/closing or key access experience is a plus

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
