What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Carpenter position at Evo Exhibits?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Exhibit Carpenter for Evo Exhibits, this person will report directly to the Fabrication Manager and be responsible for, but not limited to, constructing custom exhibit components and cabinetry. This person will also integrate with the Exhibit Engineers, Designers and Project Managers to ensure best practices are used through each custom element. In addition to being hard working, proactive and a good communicator, the following also would apply:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned)
· Complete all assigned tasks/projects with accuracy, attention to detail, within regulations and restrictions of project requirements and quality control standards
· Fabricate custom exhibit components and cabinetry
· Oversee and maintain a clean, safe and effective workshop
· Assist with loading/unloading dock deliveries by truck or light duty transportation
· Assist I&D Technicians with Pre-Show staging of exhibit components as needed
· Partner with I&D vendors on show site if required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 80 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to kneel, bend, push, pull or climb to complete various tasks
- Ability to work with power tools and other equipment (saw, drill press, tape measure, etc.)
- Ability to read prints
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work in a team that is detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and customer-centric
- Experience working in Tradeshow/Event Design
- Actively learns and recommends new methods for increased efficiencies in role
- Windows/Microsoft Office Suite
- AutoCAD experience a plus, but not required
- CNC experience a plus

Compensation: Hourly benefits and overtime when required

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
