Job Description
As a Line Cook at Elevate Entertainment Group, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking menu items to perfection. You will ensure that all food served meets our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation, contributing to an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all dishes are made to order and meet presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Ensure all ingredients and supplies are readily available and properly stored.
- Monitor food quality and freshness.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the correct temperature and meet the standards.
- Work closely with other kitchen cast members to coordinate orders and ensure timely service.
- Communicate effectively with the team to manage kitchen workflow.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist with inventory checks and notify the Kitchen Manager of low stock levels.
- Ensure that food storage areas are organized and properly stocked.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
Skills Abilities included but are not limited to:
- Strong culinary skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Education Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role is required.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- State Food Handler certificate required.
- Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Able to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights and repetitive motion
