Key Responsibilities
The Product Manager will own strategy, roadmap, and execution for developer-facing cloud infrastructure products, including APIs, platform services, observability, and deployment workflows. The role translates customer and engineering needs into clear product requirements, measurable outcomes, and prioritized delivery plans.
This role matters because reliable infrastructure is the foundation for every customer experience. The Product Manager will work closely with backend engineers, SREs, designers, and go-to-market teams to make complex technical capabilities easier to adopt, operate, and scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for cloud platform capabilities, balancing customer impact, technical debt, reliability, and commercial priorities
- Translate customer research, usage data, support trends, and competitive analysis into PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success metrics
- Partner with engineering leads to scope API contracts, SDK requirements, service dependencies, observability needs, and phased delivery plans
- Drive execution across discovery, sprint planning, beta releases, general availability, and post-launch adoption analysis using tools such as Jira, Linear, or equivalent
- Use product analytics, SQL, dashboards, and customer feedback to identify friction in onboarding, deployment, monitoring, and day-to-day platform usage
- Coordinate cross-functional launches with engineering, technical writing, developer relations, sales engineering, and customer success
- Communicate product decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and roadmap changes clearly to executives, technical stakeholders, and enterprise customers
- 3–8 years of product management experience, including ownership of technical products, developer tools, cloud services, SaaS platforms, or infrastructure workflows
- Demonstrated experience taking complex products from discovery through launch, adoption measurement, and iterative improvement
- Working knowledge of REST and event-driven APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, and observability concepts
- Strong ability to write precise product requirements, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate with engineers on technical tradeoffs without requiring line-by-line implementation expertise
- Experience using product analytics and customer research to prioritize roadmaps and evaluate outcomes; comfort writing basic SQL is expected
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS or GCP, developer documentation, API monetization, enterprise security requirements, or platform products used by engineering teams
