Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the highest quality of food production and service. This role requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques, menu planning, and food service management. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain a well-organized kitchen environment while leading a team of cooks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes for both daily service and special events.
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
  • Engage with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication regarding menu items and special requests.

Skills

  • Proficient in culinary skills with experience in food production and restaurant environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide kitchen staff towards achieving high standards of performance.
  • Familiarity with menu planning techniques that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
