The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of automated test systems used in the production of transducer assemblies. This role combines knowledge of LabVIEW with strong troubleshooting skills to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient test processes. The engineer will play a critical role in New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining test systems, and driving test coverage improvements across the manufacturing floor.

Job Description
The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of automated test systems used in the production of transducer assemblies. This role combines knowledge of LabVIEW with strong troubleshooting skills to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient test processes. The engineer will play a critical role in New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining test systems, and driving test coverage improvements across the manufacturing floor.
Job Duties
- Become a subject matter expert in ultrasound and eddy current transducer testing
- Develop new test systems using Labview and Integrate NI and third-party instrumentation (pulsers, oscilloscopes, etc.) into custom test setups.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing test stations and provide timely support to production when failures occur.
- Collaborate cross functionally and cross site to create cohesive and unified test systems.
- Review and update software test plans and procedures as needed.
- Identify and qualify new test equipment in production as they reach the end of their life cycle
- Analyse manufacturing data using Excel, Power BI and other software tools to identify trends, assist in root cause analysis, improve yield, efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct studies and propose improvements to the test process flow and spatial utilization based on Lean Manufacturing principles
- Document test procedures, validation protocols, user guides, and software release notes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics engineering or physics is required.
- 5 years of experience in LabVIEW development in a manufacturing environment (Certified LabVIEW Developer is a plus
- M.S. or Ph.D. with less experience will be considered.
- Excellent statistics and analytical skills.
- A self-starter highly motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with transducer modelling is a plus
- Understanding of signal processing algorithms.
- Operational use of electronic test equipment including digital storage oscilloscopes digital multi-meters function generators and logic analyzers
- Experience with simple circuits and tuning components (capacitors, inductors) is required
- Test system development experience and knowledge of LabView or similar graphical programming software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions and locations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
