Responsibilities:
- Support validation testing for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products.
- Support all phases of the product development build processes from Prototype, EVT and DVT level builds for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products.
- Maintain build quality standards and ensure best practices are followed in all build activities.
- Maintain all lab equipment and provide a professional working environment on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with Engineering on writing build procedures and work instructions for various mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Participate in tear downs and document issues and defects into reports utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc.
- Develop, design, and fabricate mechanical fixtures or jigs for test stages.
- Build high voltage electrical test boxes and harnesses to support testing.
- Execute tests utilizing high voltage electrical test equipment.
- Report out results utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in validation testing for automotive, aerospace, high voltage or related industries.
- Working Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Power Electronics, and DC Fast Charging.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency on necessary test and measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Thermal DAQs)
- Be a good self-starter, have a strong ability to deal with ambiguity, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision.
- Have good organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
- Occasional domestic and international travel required.
- Able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
- Fork-Lift Certified
- Experience with environmental testing for thermal testing, rain, snow, salt-fog, and grid tied surge testing is a plus.
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $95,000.00 USD to $110,000.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
