Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Respiratory Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality sleep medicine services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sleep disorders and demonstrate proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations. This role is essential for ensuring accurate assessments and effective treatment plans for patients experiencing sleep-related issues.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive polysomnographic studies to evaluate patients' sleep patterns and disorders.
- 3, 12-hour consecutive night shifts at either of our lab at Boise or Nampa locations
- Accurately following the 10-20 system and electrode placement, and troubleshooting as outlined by the AASM guidelines and protocols
- Utilize medical terminology accurately while documenting patient information and night time observations.
- Provide education to patients regarding the procedures involved in polysomnography and the importance of sleep health.
- Stay updated on advancements in sleep technology and best practices within the field to maintain state licensure
- Having experience in Diagnostic testing using Home Sleep Studies and in-lab studies as well as treatment study testing and its various modalities used.
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or higher education is required.
- Experience as a registered polysomnographic technologist (registered preferred).
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and understanding of titration and various modalities.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques related to sleep disorders per the AASM.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients and their families.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
