Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sanitation Team Lead to oversee and coordinate cleaning and sanitation operations across our facilities during or PM shift. In this role, you will lead a team of custodial staff, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation compliance. Your leadership will drive efficient cleaning processes, uphold safety regulations, and foster a positive team environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation activities, including industrial cleaning, custodial tasks, and housekeeping management
- Lead, motivate, and train sanitation staff to ensure high-quality cleaning standards are consistently met
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to optimize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and sanitation protocols during all cleaning operations
- Conduct inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company policies
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance
- Collaborate with other departments to address sanitation needs and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial services, industrial or commercial cleaning, or hospitality housekeeping management
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in a cleaning or sanitation environment
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively
- Effective communication skills for managerial communication and customer service interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior janitorial experience or laundry/hospitality background is preferred but not required
- Has worked in a USDA Facility
- Clear understanding of Pre-Op readiness under USDA guidelines
- Bilingual in spanish and English
