Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning techniques to meet safety standards in production.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and ingredient assembly following established recipes and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sanitizing work surfaces, sinks, and storage areas regularly.
- Support the culinary team in meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Follow food handling protocols and safety standards in accordance with health regulations to prevent contamination.
- Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen supplies efficiently for easy access during service.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs or shortages.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety practices.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, including slicing and knife skills, is advantageous.
- Ability to follow safety standards in production environments and adhere to food safety management protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of catering, serving, and food industry operations is a plus.
