Every Doggie Has Its Grooming is looking for an experienced professional dog groomer to join our brand-new grooming salon in Peoria.

Our grooming salon is connected to Every Doggie Has Its Daycare, an established local dog daycare and boarding business with a loyal customer base and many potential grooming clients already coming through our doors.

We are building something special from the ground up, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that beginning.

• Has professional dog grooming experience
• Can groom dogs independently from start to finish
• Is experienced with a variety of breeds, sizes, and coat types
• Is comfortable grooming Doodles, Poodles, and other high-maintenance coats
• Has strong clipper and scissoring skills
• Understands proper bathing, drying, brushing, and de-shedding techniques
• Handles dogs with patience, gentleness, and compassion
• Recognizes when a dog is stressed and knows when to slow down, stop, or modify a groom
• Takes pride in keeping a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming station
• Is dependable, punctual, honest, and professional
• Communicates openly and respectfully with customers and teammates
• Takes genuine pride in the quality of their finished work
• Works well as part of a team and is willing to help others succeed
• Treats every dog with dignity, patience, and kindness
• Understands that the dogs we care for are deeply loved members of someone’s family
• Wants to build a loyal clientele and grow with a new salon

We’re looking for someone who leads with kindness, integrity, humility, patience, and a servant’s heart.

Someone who doesn’t simply ask:

“How quickly can I get this dog finished?”

but instead asks:

“What does this dog need from me today?”

We believe excellent grooming begins with excellent care.

You’re not being asked to walk into an empty salon and build a clientele from nothing.

You’ll be joining an established pet-care business with an existing customer base, while helping us introduce a new grooming experience to the families who already trust us.

We are especially interested in someone who wants to be part of the salon from the beginning and help establish a reputation for exceptional grooming, outstanding customer service, and genuine care.

Applicants should be prepared to discuss their grooming experience and provide photos or a portfolio of previous work.
