Position Overview
The RN Hospice Director is responsible for overseeing the clinical, operational, and regulatory functions of the hospice program. This role ensures exceptional patient care, compliance with all state and federal regulations, strong team leadership, and ongoing quality improvement. Compensation:
- Starting salary of $90,000 per year depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clinical oversight for the hospice department.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and agency policies.
- Lead, mentor, and support the interdisciplinary hospice team.
- Oversee patient care operations, including admissions, case management, on-call coordination, and quality outcomes.
- Monitor staffing, productivity, and scheduling needs to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality care.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, program growth, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews.
- Foster a positive, supportive culture aligned with organizational values.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for hospice-related concerns, escalations, and clinical oversight.
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required).
- Leadership or supervisory experience in hospice or home health strongly preferred.
