As a Hospice CNA, you will provide essential personal care and support services to patients in their homes or in facility settings. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, your role is vital in promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life during end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and families
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ condition to the hospice team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
- Document care provided in accordance with agency procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Support the hospice philosophy of care, focusing on comfort rather than cure
- Active CNA certification in Wyoming.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNA, hospice or palliative care preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with empathy, patience, and respect for patients and families
