Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Medical Director - Physician to serve as our Supervising Physician in accordance with state regulatory requirements and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of healthcare management, clinical research, and regulatory compliance. This leadership position requires a physician with strong management skills, expertise in EMR/EHR systems, and a commitment to advancing healthcare standards in accordance with NCQA, FDA regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and leadership for all medical activities within the organization.
- Manage utilization review processes, including utilization management and medical records review to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization.
- Provide medical oversight for all medical spa services, including injectables, IV hydration, laser services, and wellness treatments.
- Review and approve clinical protocols, standing orders, and treatment plans.
- Conduct patient chart reviews as required by state law.
- Be available for consultation via phone, video conference (telemedicine), or scheduled on-site visits.
- Provide support and guidance to Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and medical aestheticians.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and best practice.
Skills
- Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in the state of Florida.
- Extensive knowledge of managed care principles and healthcare management strategies.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems as well as medical records management.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, clinical research methodologies, and medical terminology.
- Experience with aesthetics, dermatology, or family practice operations and clinical development projects.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, NCQA standards, HIPAA compliance, and utilization management processes. Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines related to medical spas.
- Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare setting; capable of managing multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Excellent project management abilities with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to analyze complex clinical data to inform decision-making.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with a growing team in a professional and supportive environment.
Pay: $300.00 - $5,000.00 per month
