Responsibilities

Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting our nation's security? We’re looking for a system administrator who specializes in Linux and Windows systems to help us provide support to the systems and users for a High-Performance Computing (HPC) research-driven environment.

As a system administrator on our project, you’ll administer, monitor, and maintain HPC systems, including compute nodes, storage, networkign, and software stacks. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.  

Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.

Qualifications

You Have: 

• Experience administering Linux-based servers and HPC clusters, including job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, LSF, or PBS)

• Experience configuring and managing Virtual Private Network (VPN) clients and servers 

• Experience with scripting and programming tools, C and Python 

• Knowledge of system automation tools, including Ansible, and system provisioning tools, including Warewolf 

• Knowledge of distributed storage systems, Lustre or BeeGFS 

• Knowledge of containerization, including Docker or Apptainer 
• Knowledge of installing, maintaining, and using infrastructure and performance monitoring and  optimization tools like Grafana or Prometheus 
• TS/SCI with a polygraph
• HS Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in systems administration 

Nice If You Have: 

• DoD 8140.01 or DoD 8570.01-M certification 

Clearance:  

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance with a polygraph is required.  

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84.14 to $96.16 per hour.  The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch’s total compensation package for employees.
