Position Summary
The Senior Director of Human Resources will serve as a strategic leader and operational expert, responsible for shaping a high-performing, values-driven culture and is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. This role will oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, pre-employment, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will champion technology adoption, process discipline, and data-driven decision-making to deliver exceptional internal customer service and ensure strong compliance across all HR practices. The role leads a team of about 15 people, including 3 to 4 direct reports.
The SDHR is a member of Everstands Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the Chief Operations & Financial Officer (COFO).

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position. It is eligible for a hybrid flex schedule and is considered nonessential during inclement weather.
Travel
Travel to our other campuses may be required during the business day, and some on-site or off-site attendance at meetings and events may be expected.

Strategic Leadership & Culture Building
- Develop and implement HR strategies that integrate trauma-informed principles,that foster a collaborative, and purpose-driven culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.

- Collaborate and interact with the Board of Directors as part of the Risk Compensation and Outcomes committee.
- Design and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract top talent aligned with the organization’s purpose and values.
- Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely, high-quality hires.
- Develop retention programs that enhance employee engagement, career development, and organizational loyalty.
- Analyze turnover trends and implement proactive measures to reduce attrition and strengthen workforce stability.
- Own the HR technology stack and lead the rollout and optimization of technology platforms to streamline processes and enhance employee experience.
- Champion automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual administrative tasks.
- Establish and enforce standardized HR processes aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as contracts and grant specific regulations and requirements.
- Oversee processes for pre-employment clearances and ongoing compliance.
- Implement HR dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover, time-to-fill, engagement, and diversity of

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior-level role.
- Proven experience in nonprofit or purpose-driven organizations, in trauma-informed and complex organizations, is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in HR technology platforms, process improvement, and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience managing HR metrics and KPIs.
- Proven project and program management skills, including the use of project management technology platforms.
